Mangia’s: Italian Hospitality, Reimagined

Mangia’s Hotels & Resorts

Founded in 1973, Mangia’s is one of Italy’s leading hospitality brands, featuring a collection of 17 properties across Sicily and Sardinia, including a luxury city hotel in Palermo, as well as resorts and clubs totaling over 4,000 rooms. Through a distinctive approach that combines biophilic design, authenticity, and sustainability, Mangia’s reinterprets Italian hospitality with a contemporary perspective. In 2024, the group was recognized by Horwath HTL as the leading Italian hotel chain in the 5-star and 5-star luxury segment by number of keys. Partnerships with Hilton and Marriott International, together with collaborations with major international investment groups, further strengthen the brand’s positioning and support its future growth.

In 2019, Marcello Mangia became President and CEO of Aeroviaggi S.p.A., completing a journey that began within the company in 1982. Under his leadership, the group embarked on a significant process of evolution, focused on innovation and sustainable development.

Already in the early years of his presidency, Mangia promoted the rebranding of the Hospitality division, which in July 2021 became Mangia’s Hotel & Resort. This step marked the company’s entry into a new market segment and the beginning of a new era, with a contemporary vision always rooted in the values and excellence of Made in Italy.

At the same time, the group strengthened its strategic activities, consolidating the role of the general contractor MBuild It and developing the incoming department, culminating in the recent launch of the digital tour operator MDestinations.

In the group’s growth journey, a central role is played by the development of new destinations and the continuous expansion of the portfolio.
Among the most relevant projects, 2026 will see the launch of Costa Ragusa, a new destination in Kamarina (RG), which will include two properties: Costa Ragusa Resort 5L and Mangia’s Costa Ragusa Borgo 5. A strategic project that confirms the group’s commitment to developing iconic destinations in the Mediterranean.

Alongside new developments, Mangia’s now boasts a diversified portfolio that includes city hotels, resorts, and clubs in the main locations of Sicily and Sardinia.

In Palermo, the group manages the Grand Hotel et Des Palmes 5* Luxury.

In Sicily, the resort portfolio includes Mangia’s Brucoli, Sicily, Autograph Collection Hotels 5* (SR), Mangia’s Torre del Barone Resort & SPA 5* (AG), Mangia’s Pollina Resort 4* (PA), Mangia’s Himera Resort 4* (PA), Mangia’s Favignana Resort 4* (TP), and Mangia’s Selinunte Resort 4* (TP), as well as the new openings of Costa Ragusa Resort 5L (RG) and Mangia’s Costa Ragusa Borgo 5 (RG).

In Sardinia, the offering includes Mangia’s Santa Teresa Sardinia, Curio Collection by Hilton 5* (SS) and Mangia’s Sardinia Resort 5* (SS).

The group is also present with a selection of clubs: in Sicily Acacia Resort (PA), MClub Alicudi (AG), MClub Cala Regina (AG), and MClub Lipari (ME); in Sardinia MClub Del Golfo (SS) and TUI BLUE Budoni (SS).

Our sustainable future

Sustainability is a priority for Mangia’s.
The extensive renovation of the various resorts is in line with Mangia’s and HIP’s commitment to sustainability and environmental protection around the brand’s properties. Local, farm-to-table ingredients from our orchards, locally-sourced supplies and staff, the use of renewable energy and waste reduction are priorities for the company. In January 2024, Mangia’s obtained the BREEAM In-Use “Very Good” certificate – issued by the BRE certification body which rewards sustainable buildings – for Mangia’s Torre del Barone Resort & SPA, Mangia’s Brucoli, Sicily, Autograph Collection and Mangia’s Selinunte Resort.
In April 2024, Mangia’s was recognized as a “GIF Responsible Organisation” by the Get It Fair programme, which awards this mark to organisations that have successfully completed a rigorous Due Diligence process.

We are very proud of this recognition. In general we believe that the adoption of ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) policies is fundamental not only for our business success, but also for our commitment to society and the environment. Through these initiatives, we not only improve the environmental impact of our hotels, but also ensure a fair and transparent working environment, increasing value for our stakeholders and contributing positively to the communities in which we operate.”
