Aeroviaggi

We are Mangia's

As far-reaching as a sunset over the sea with an all-Italian welcome
For fifty years, we have been striving to create special moments and memories.

Aeroviaggi S.p.A. was founded in Palermo in 1973 by Antonio Mangia. The company operates in the tourism sector as one the first Hotel Owners and Operators, directly managing 13 properties between Sicily and Sardinia, the two largest islands in the Mediterranean.

In 2019, Marcello Mangia became CEO and President of Aeroviaggi S.p.A. and in July 2021, the company underwent a complete rebranding to become Mangia’s. This marked a move into a different market segment and a new era for the company, armed with a fresh perspective but still firmly rooted in traditional values and the Made in Italy experience.
Mangia’s is an Italian hotel brand operating in the upper-upscale segment.

The brand manages 13 properties in Sicily and Sardinia, 4- and 5-star Resorts and Club accommodation. With the acquisition of two historic buildings in the city of Palermo – the Grand Hotel et Des Palmes and Palazzo Favaloro Gallo – Mangia’s is about to launch a line of city hotels. The brand’s pillars are Italian Taste, Biophilic Design, Sustainability and People, and these elements give the structures their unmistakable Mangia’s signature.

Mangia’s offers both Resort and Club accommodation, ideal destinations for guests looking for an authentic Italian vacanza. 9 of Mangia’s Resorts and Clubs are located in Sicily: Mangia’s Brucoli, Sicily, Autograph Collection near Syracuse, Mangia’s Torre del Barone Resort & SPA in Agrigento province, Mangia’s Selinunte Resort in Trapani province, Mangia’s Pollina Resort and Mangia’s Himera Resort close to Cefalù and Palermo, Mangia’s Favignana Resort on the island of Favignana, and MClub Cala Regina, MClub Alicudi and MClub Lipari also in Agrigento province. The rest of Mangia’s properties are situated in Sardinia, to the north of the island: Mangia’s Santa Teresa Sardinia, Curio Collection by Hilton near Santa Reparata, TUI Blue Budoni in Budoni, MClub Marmorata in Santa Teresa Gallura and MClub Del Golfo in Marina di Sorso.

Our sustainable future

Sustainability is a priority for Mangia’s.
The extensive renovation of the various resorts is in line with Mangia’s and HIP’s commitment to sustainability and environmental protection around the brand’s properties. Local, farm-to-table ingredients from our orchards, locally-sourced supplies and staff, the use of renewable energy and waste reduction are priorities for the company. In January 2024, Mangia’s obtained the BREEAM In-Use “Very Good” certificate – issued by the BRE certification body which rewards sustainable buildings – for Mangia’s Torre del Barone Resort & SPA, Mangia’s Brucoli, Sicily, Autograph Collection and Mangia’s Selinunte Resort.
In April 2024, Mangia’s was recognized as a “GIF Responsible Organisation” by the Get It Fair programme, which awards this mark to organisations that have successfully completed a rigorous Due Diligence process.

We are very proud of this recognition. In general we believe that the adoption of ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) policies is fundamental not only for our business success, but also for our commitment to society and the environment. Through these initiatives, we not only improve the environmental impact of our hotels, but also ensure a fair and transparent working environment, increasing value for our stakeholders and contributing positively to the communities in which we operate.”

Marcello Mangia, President and CEO
