The Pollina Resort, nestling in 40 hectares of natural parkland, offers a breath-taking view: mountains stretching as far as the eye can see; the Rocca di Cefalù, a fascinating place with its important historical traces, and lastly, the beautiful, wild and authentic Aeolian Islands.
The Pollina Resort is a corner of paradise, nestled atop a promontory surrounded by the sea, from which you can see the Aeolian Islands on the horizon.
Only 13 km separate Pollina from Cefalù, one of Italy’s most beautiful villages, with its Norman cathedral, which today is considered one of the most precious artistic treasures of the island.
To enhance your vacation, book an excursion: visit Agrigento and the Valley of the Temples, which bears witness to Greek culture and art, or Palermo, with its wonderful cathedral in Arab-Norman style.

Giosuè Miceli is the General Manager of the Pollina Resort. We asked him to share with us interesting facts and the distinctive elements of his work at the hospitality facility.
Can we talk about “eco-sustainable tourism” when it comes to the Pollina Resort?
Certainly. A green and eco-sustainable approach is the best way to convey our respect for our land to guests. We have done away with straws, cutlery, dispensers, glasses and plastic cups, and decided to use LED lamps to support energy saving measures. For the little guests of the Resort, there are many activities designed to sensitise the new generations to love nature and respect the environment.
What about your strengths?
An immense natural area that is home to a precious ecosystem with over 300 different fauna and flora species. The inhabitant of these woods is “Filippo”, the Sicilian jay, a rare, lively bird with sky-blue feathers, along with other species, such as the hoopoe, a bird with black and white striped plumage.
In terms of eco-sustainability at the Pollina Resort, how important is the adoption of a zero-km consumption philosophy?
The knowledge of a territory is honed by experiencing its food and wine traditions. We have the opportunity to collect fresh products from our garden, and choose only top-quality, zero-km materials, aiming to showcase and enhance the work of small local producers.
