Sicily Unknown

Spend a day discovering the Sicilian hinterland, rich in traditions belonging to the past! Discover Castelbuono, an ancient fief of the county of Geraci, famous all over the world for the production of panettone.

We will begin the tour with a visit to the Matrice Vecchia, built in 1350, the imposing Castello dei Ventimiglia which, despite the many renovations undergone over the centuries, still retains its majestic appearance.

Inside the castle we will visit the Palatine Chapel, which houses the relics of Saint Anna, the Patron of Castelbuono.

We will stop for lunch in a typical farmhouse surrounded by gardens, orchards and olive groves, where you can enjoy a typical Madonita lunch based on local products.
Lunch will be animated by a folk duo that will play and sing typical Sicilian refrains.

After lunch we will reach Geraci Siculo, located 1000 meters above sea level: this typical village in the heart of the Madonie Park still retains its medieval appearance and, during the visit, we will enjoy a digestive in the main square of the village.

We will then make a stop in Petralia before returning to the hotel.
