Alghero and the Caves of Neptune
Don’t miss the opportunity to visit one of the most interesting natural sites in Sardinia: the promontory of Capo Caccia and the famous Neptune’s Grotto!
Leaving from the port of Alghero, we will sail along the coast observing the magnificent cliffs with their natural caves including the most important – Neptune’s Grotto.
We will enter the cave, where you can admire the magnificent natural formations of stalactites and stalagmites that are reflected in the crystal-clear waters.
We will return to Alghero and stop for lunch in a local restaurant, where you can taste the typical Sardinian dishes and, in the afternoon, we will take a tour of Alghero, the beautiful city of Catalan origin where you can walk through the typical streets that wind along the well-preserved old districts.
One of the island’s coastal cities, Alghero is known as a producer of coral items. After discovering the beauty of this city, we will return to the hotel.
**In the event that it is not possible to visit the inside of the Neptune’s Cave, we propose a mini cruise along the coast of Alghero to the promontory of Capo Caccia, crossing Cala Galera, Punta Giglio and Tramariglio. In the case of bad weather/maritime conditions, the mini cruise will be replaced with the visit of the promontory of Capo Caccia overland via bus. **
