Mazara and the hidden Kasbah
We will set out to discover the Arabian Mazara del Vallo, located on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea, less than 200 km from the Tunisian coasts of North Africa.
The visit will begin in Piazza della Repubblica, where we will visit the Cathedral of the Holy Sav-iour built in the Norman period and modified over the centuries with a great Baroque imprint, of which it preserves the most important testimonies like the sculptures of the Gagini and the Marabitti.
We will have an authentic meeting with the cloistered nuns of the Convent of San Michele, to discover the famous tradition of pastry of the Benedictine nuns, we can "like once" taste the "muccunetti", typical sweets with Sicilian candied pumpkin and served with the ancient iron wheel.
We will continue exploring the small streets of the center to discover the Kasbah in the Tunisian district, an Arab-style path that will accompany you to the famous Blue Door.
You can not miss the meeting of oriental traits, among scents of spices, streets colored by symbols of the Islamic religion and the small mosque with the imam, with a small tasting where the tradition of Cous Cous will be explained.
You will have some free time followed by a ride to the famous Port of Mazara before returning to the hotel.
